When i ordered my carmate back in 2002 i went with barn doors and never looked back.
7x16 being the trailer is 8 tall interior.
I can park my trailer in my garage extra deep 9 high door and open the barn doors w o a problem.

There s really no situation to need a ramp unless your a landscaper.
Some of the customers homes have short driveways no room for a ramp door.
My trailer is 7x14 and has barn doors.
It would be a pain and probably not possible to open the ramp door inside my garage.
To create barn doors out of your ramp door you will need hinges and a latch.
Went with a foldable aluminum atv ramp 4 x 7 over 1 000 lb capacity.
A ladder bar shaped bi fold added plywood panels screwed down i am like bandit.
With the deck enclosure it gives my little 6x12 trailer an additional 6 x 6 room on the back to be a screen room storage room or space for the grand kids to.
If your running massive gas air compressors then you gave a crew and that crew can lift the thing 12 to the ground.
They work out the side door also.
Which style do you think is more practical and why.
I have used 5 trailers with ramps and after going barn doors i would never go back.
I can leave one side or the other closed when it s a rainy day and help keep the rain out of the trailer.
I went with bi fold ramps.
