The center button doesn t seem to work under ubuntu 10 10.

Uses the small right button for browsing back. Hardware ids for the marble mouse buttons remain constant regardless of device configuration. Is there a way to scroll only with button. As stated this just works so no need to change anything.

For several years now i have been using a logitech trackman marble together with a libinput tweak to use the trackball for scrolling by holding down one of the buttons while spinning the ball. It works as a scroll button in windows. Press and hold to scroll freely horizontally and vertically. It has a large trackball for your thumb on the left and three buttons for your fingers.
