Toyota Sienna Power Sliding Doors Not Working

The door is supposed to unlatch first before it triggers the motor to pull it open.

Recently the passenger side psd stopped working but the door can be opened and closed manually with no binding. The sliding door latch is not working see the picture of the latch unit. Most common problem is the motor of the latch fails. Frayed cable the cable in the side door is prone to fraying and then breaking.

Latch motor failure sometimes the side door will struggle to open when you press the button to automatically open it. At first the door won t work properly. When the passenger side sliding door is forced open it can then be closed using the front dash switch the passenger door switch or the fob. Come along as i struggle to videotape the diagnosis and fix for a 2011 toyota sienna inoperative sliding power door which won t open even when in manual mode.

Both electric sliding doors will not open. Problem started intermittantly but now won t open at all.
